Honorable Mention Hubble Reflections Marty Abuloc An immensity of stars galaxies, planets perhaps eternities that transpire at this moment as light years ago, or hereafter The gas clouds darken and take on colors What scent do these stars have? Does the rain taste as sweet, or do hurricanes of vast magnitude destroy worlds and suns in the slow violence of an enduring scream and what sound, what cries can be heard? How vast the galaxial winds fanning wings of nebula, a measure of forever in a thimble of space? How little we are, our time, our nights, our rains. How feeble our voices in the deep resonance of birthing galaxies. How mundane our heartbreaks, our pains to the spasms of colliding stars. Yet in this spectacle somewhere a rose grows, or a dew falls, a child utters his first daddy and cries becomes everything more moving than the enormous sails that tilt the orbits of systems, more profound than the mathematical equations that perfects the synchronicity of stars in universal schematics Stars and storms are stilled for milk at two a.m.
